Lexie disclosed that she does not intend to go back to school this fall. When I asked why, she explained that she does not like her school because she feels they were dishonest about costs and financial aid. I am not sure how much of this is just her misunderstanding the financial aid process. She explained that she was supposed to take summer classes which are not covered by financial aid, though she believes they should be. This lead her to withdrawing.

I asked her if she has applied to other schools, but she has not because she cannot afford the application fees and doesn't think it's worth it to apply to schools that require application fees. I explained that application fees are a normal part of the application process and that she may not be able to find a school that doesn't require one.

We also discussed the importance of staying in school to ensure she retains the knowledge she has recieved.

She also explained that she doesn't want to go back to school because she would rather make money now. I called her out on this becuase she has not maintained employment for several months now, so she really isn't earning or saving money.

I am very concerned about Lexie's support system. She is completed disconnected from Ms. Lisa at this point and though she spends a lot of time with her mother, I don't know if anybody aside from myself is truly encouraging her to find employment and go back to school.
