I met with Lexie and took her out to lunch.

This was our first meeting in about a month. During that time, Lexie has been working with her case worker to find housing at a group home. She has been approved for housing and is working on finding an available location to move to. She is looking at East Price Hill and Roselawn.

Lexie has reported that she has improved her grades in school and started a job with Christ Hospital in their mental health unit. The new job comes with new stresses as she adapts to the patients and some of their unique needs. She is happy to be working in healthcare.

She has also started a new relationship with a man she met on Facebook. He is a couple of years older than her but has a similar familial background. He lives with his grandma and is her primary caregiver.

She is still having issues within the home, mostly with how she perceives her treatment versus how her sister and nephew are treated. I think leaving the house will be helpful.

We did have a pretty intense conversation about her nephew. She commented that he isn't "whipped" enough, and that is why he is so bad. I talked to her about how physical punishment can often lead to adverse reactions in children and to keep in mind that he most likely needs more comprehensive attention to his behavioral problems, such as therapy. She seemed receptive to what I was saying.
